There’s a new tool on the internet - Frappr… it makes it possible to visualise the location of friends and family by people putting a pin on a map. I’ve made a group: Hilgenberg, added my family. Why not add yours?
If you’re a Hilgenberg (or related) please add yourself!
I’ve found an email from Oct 2005 in my outlook from Linda Norton. I can only apologise for the lateness of posting. She writes:
Marie is the second cousin to my father, Leonard Hilgenberg. who was the son of William Charles Hilgenberg who came to the US in the early 1900 and sponsored Marie’s father. William Charles Hilgenberg, from Germany, married Anna Steisel from Austria and they had 9 children, Adolf, William, Eddy, Albert, John, Leonard, Margaret, Louise and Anna. They all settled in the DC area and later moved to Maryland. All but 4 are deceased the oldest is Margaret (Hilgenberg) Musgrove at 94.
David’s grandfather came to the U.S. in the 1920’s not quite sure when. He was born in Wilhelmshaven, Germany.
