Bad luck for mice

Filed under: Spinoza — timothy @ 7:31 pm

It’s been a busy old time; with it getting colder I’ve been sleeping a lot more! In the hours I am awake I’ve found myself a new hobby - I’ve been catching mice… and then eating them. It’s a good source of protein and while my regular food is fine, it’s nothing like fresh from the wild! Today I got another one. It’s not always easy to catch them and once successful I’m usually thwarted when I try and eat them in the kitchen. Neither Celia nor Timothy seem to appreciate my efforts… same again today. I had to eat my mouse on the matt by the back door. Still it was a nice elevenses.

New York Hilgenbergs 1855-1889

Filed under: Hilgenbergs — timothy @ 1:42 pm

Dennis P. Bernhardt has what appears to be a lone Hilgenberg in Berne, Albany County, New York, USA. It is Henry Hilgenberg born Oct 1855, died April 19, 1889 in Berne, NY and possibly married to Mary C. Messer.
Does anyone have a connection?
